Frances Avis was convicted of harrassment and criminal damage by magistrates. The alleged victim gave evidence saying that Avis had written letters admitting to vandelism and sinister behavior. Her conviction was quashed when it was revealed that the alleged victim had been forging the letters. A handwiring expert cast doubt on the legitimacy of the letters, and the alleged victim aditted the forgery.
